Dénia is a historic city on the east coast of Spain. It is located between Alicante and Valencia in the north of the Costa Blanca. After an eventful history as a Roman naval base called Dianium, seat of a Moorish Taifa kingdom and a Spanish margraviate, Dénia is now the capital of the comarca Marina Alta and a popular holiday destination. Also worth mentioning are the two large marinas and the fishing port, as well as the beautiful, historical city center. From the boutique to the supermarket, you can find all the shops in Denia.
Residents and visitors alike appreciate the 20 km long sandy beach, which turns into rocky and stony coast at the level of the Las Rotas district. The Montgó nature reserve is ideal for hikers. Near the city is the Cabo de la Nao, from which you can enjoy a view of Ibiza when the weather is clear.
Dénia is connected to both Alicante and Valencia airports by the AP 7 motorway. From Denia ferries run by the company Balearia to the Balearic islands of Ibiza and Mallorca. The FGV line L9 connects Dénia with Alicante.
